IPENZ Foundation Engineeering Scholarships 2010
As part of the Foundation’s objective “To encourage New Zealand school leavers into tertiary education and technology”, scholarships worth $5,000 are offered each year, for the purpose of assisting with university costs. Students from Years 12 or 13 are eligible to apply and the winners are chosen on the basis of their intent to pursue engineering as a career, motivation to succeed, academic merit and contribution to the wider community. Edna Waddell Undergraduate Scholarships for Women in Technology and Engineering 2010
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide funds to help women undertake undergraduate study for degrees in engineering and technology at New Zealand universities. The Scholarships will be for women entering their first year of full time study for an undergraduate degree, who have not previously studied full time at that level in technology and engineering. The Scholarships are intended for school leavers and mature women; if the latter, preference will be given to those who have worked in industry for at least three years or/and have passed sub-degree courses in technology or engineering.
Each Scholarship will be for one year, the initial year of study and the target maximum value for each Scholarship is $5,000.

Canterbury BRIGHT START Scholarships
Fees paid for the first year of full-time study at any of the following institutions:
Applicants must have lived in the Canterbury region for the last 12 months and be likely to experience financial hardship in tertiary study.
Applications close in November. Applications forms are only available from 6-8 weeks ahead of the closing date.
