Parents Teacher Association

The PTA aims to provide a friendly, welcoming and open environment for parents and caregivers to learn more about the school, the staff, the board and their respective activities, as well as an opportunity to share their comments, concerns and ideas.

The PTA also endeavours to support the school community by assisting at school functions and raising funds for resources and activities that all the students will benefit from.

In 2013 we are keen to refresh the PTA with new members and new ideas, so if you are interested in joining the PTA and supporting your daughter to have positive experiences during her time at Avonside Girls’ High School, then we would love to meet you.

Please feel welcome to come to one of our monthly meetings – see dates below.

NEXT MEETING: Monday 6th May 2013, 7pm

The PTA firmly supports the retention of Avonside Girls' High School as a single sex girls school preferably situated at its current location. Any proposed change should in no way detract from the schools objective and success in providing an excellent learning environment for girls, offering strong school values and traditions as well as a wide range of cultural and sporting opportunities.
