The latest information from the Ministry of Education: as of 2 February 2020, all travellers arriving in New Zealand out of mainland China, or any travellers who have had exposure to a confirmed case of novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) will be expected to self-isolate for a period of 14 days from the time they leave mainland China or were exposed to novel coronavirus. Avonside Girls' High School is a popular school and is frequently oversubscribed. The Board operates an enrolment scheme to prevent overcrowding or the likelihood of overcrowding at the school. Each year the Board will determine the number of places which are likely to be available in the following year for the enrolment of students who live outside the home zone. The Board will publish this information by notice in a daily or community newspaper circulating in the area served by the school. The notice will indicate how applications are to be made and will specify a date by which all applications must be received. All in-zone applicants will be accepted.

Enrolments for Y9 2020 have closed. If you wish to enrol at the other year levels, 10-13, please collect an application from Reception at 209 Travis Road. Enrolment at these levels will close November 30, 2019.
