Science teacher
Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher
Science
Term 2, 2024, fixed-term, 0.5FTTE part-time, 13 hours teaching over 3 days.
We seek a part-time science teacher for a maternity cover for one term to join our experienced and talented science department.
The successful candidate would be able to teach junior science and NCEA Level 1. Full support for Level 1 would be provided.

Avonside Girls’ are seeking a mathematics teacher who has the capability to teach junior and senior mathematics. Experience in teaching statistics would be advantageous.

Guidance counsellor
Te Kura Kohine o Ōtākaro | Avonside Girls’ High School is looking for an experienced, and professionally trained guidance counsellor to join our Hauora team while a staff member is on leave. Our Hauora team is highly regarded, passionate and committed to meeting ākonga needs.
This is a part time, fixed-term position commencing at the beginning of term 2 (29th April) and ending 5th July 2024.
You will have skills in forming effective professional relationships both within the school community and with wider community agencies and with a diverse range of young people. Experience in running groups would be a bonus.
The candidate must be a member of NZAC or similar organisation.
