Welcome! We are currently seeking new members to join the AGHS Parent Association. Get in touch, get involved and make a difference in the AGHS community!

No special skills required, everyone has something to offer! All we ask for is enthusiasm and commitment.

Our next event...

The newly formed AGHS Parent Association is launching our first event! AVONSIDE CLOSET CLEAROUT. This event’s goal is to raise funds for a much needed school van.

We need your support by donating clothes (these can be dropped off in the purple bin in the school foyer or dropped off at locations in Marshlands or Southshore – get in touch aghsparentassociation@gmail.com for details)

We also need of at least 6 x volunteers to fill each of the shifts below:

Friday 26th June, 1pm – till completion of set up
Collection of clothes from Marshland, transporting to school and setting up the theatre. Will require some trailers and utes for transport if available.

Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th June

MORNING SHIFT (9.30am – 1pm)

AFTERNOON SHIFT (1pm – 4.30pm)

Sunday 28th June

PACK DOWN TEAM (4.00pm – till pack down complete)

Past Pupils Association

Avonside Past Pupils Association

The Past Pupils Association’s aim is to support school activities and provide a forum for past pupils to maintain an active interest in the school and continue long-term friendships. We try to hold at least two functions a year where all former pupils are welcome. We also send out an annual newsletter (digital or hard copy) to all Association members.

We have branches in Christchurch, Akaroa, Auckland, Dunedin, Marlborough, Nelson/Motueka, Tauranga, Timaru, and Wellington. Please contact us at avonsidepastpupils@gmail.com for further details. Annual subscription $10. Life membership $50.
