Kia Ora Koutou

We have had a great start to term 4. It was wonderful to welcome all students back and get stuck into learning and celebrations. Congratulations to all our award winners at the arts assembly on Thursday. We also had a wonderful night with the Year 12 on Friday at their semi-formal event.

I met with both the juniors and the seniors this week. It is essential that they focus in on learning and finishing strong with determination and grit – kia manawanui. Seniors should have clear goals around merit and excellence and credits and be revising for exams. They need to take full advantage of any tutorials. If you have any concerns or questions, please get in touch with their whanau kaimahi or the kaitiaki. It is also important that they know their exam timetable and speak with Mrs Kissell if they have clashes or other questions.

Junior parents – please talk with your young person about homework and ensure that these routines continue.

This week coming we have events on every evening so please do check your calendars. We will also promote on facebook. These range from a technology exhibition (Monday) to a music spectacular concert (Tuesday), the senior film festival (Weds) and on Thursday 16th our Pasifika awards Fia Fia.

Please note the article on the partial strikes by PPTA this coming week and the full strike on the 23rd for both PPTA and NZEI staff.

Have a lovely weekend

Catherine
